DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the transportation needs of consumers by providing safe and dependable service in a variety of situations. The role requires professionalism, awareness, and a strong commitment to passenger well-being. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:

  • Vehicle Operation: Operate assigned vehicles safely for scheduled consumer transport
  • Door-to-Door Service: Assist consumers entering, exiting, and moving between locations while carrying needed packages
  • Communication Tools: Use radios, tablets, or phones to coordinate with office staff and follow scheduled routes
  • Vehicle Care: Complete pre-trip checks and clean vehicle interiors daily
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain respectful relationships with consumers, office staff, and other drivers
  • Confidentiality Standards: Protect personal and medical information during all interactions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Part-time employment (14 to 21+ hours per week)
  • Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Condition of Employment:

  • No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination and drug screening.
