This is an Extra-Curricular coaching position at South Ripley High School The assignment is for the 2026-2027 bowling season and is paid a stipend.

Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee all aspects of the bowling program for grades 9–12.
- Plan and supervise practices, lane times, competitions, and other team activities.
- Coordinate team schedules, match logistics, transportation, budgeting, equipment, and inventory.
- Promote a positive and competitive team culture aligned with the values of South Ripley High School and South Ripley Athletics.
- Coordinate preseason, postseason, and offseason opportunities for student-athlete development.
- Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school personnel, and the Athletic Department.
- Be familiar with and able to navigate IHSB/IMSB, STACK TeamApp, and USBC platforms, forms, and requirements.
- Participate in SEI Bowling Conference meetings and support conference operations and growth.
- Commit to weekday practices (generally 3–5 p.m.) and Saturday competitions from October through January.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with Pollard’s Bowling Center and support local youth bowling initiatives.
- Assist with fundraising efforts to support and grow the bowling program.
- Monitor student-athlete academics and communicate team results and accomplishments to the Athletic Department for school recognition and promotion.
- Support community engagement and youth bowling initiatives that encourage participation and help grow the program.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable conference, school, governing-body, and South Ripley Athletic Department policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional growth through coaching clinics, certifications, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous bowling coaching experience preferred.
- Competitive bowling experience preferred.
- USBC membership will be required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, school personnel, and community partners.
- Knowledge of athlete development, team culture, and leadership strategies.
- Commitment to balancing academics and athletics in the lives of student-athletes.
- Ability to build and sustain a positive, competitive bowling program while developing athletes at all levels.
- Secondary teaching certification preferred but not required.
- Must meet all South Ripley Community School Corporation and applicable governing-body requirements for coaches.
