Head Dance Coach

Catholic Central High School

Catholic Central High School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and faith-centered individual to serve as the Head Dance Coach. The Head Dance Coach will lead and grow a competitive dance program that reflects the mission and values of Catholic Central while fostering excellence, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and student development.

This position is ideal for someone who is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the performance floor while creating a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture.

Coaches are educators, mentors, and role models who are expected to positively impact students beyond athletics.

Primary Responsibilities

The Head Dance Coach will:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the Catholic Central Dance program.
  • Teach proper dance technique, choreography, performance skills, conditioning, and injury prevention.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture.
  • Promote leadership, accountability, respect, and sportsmanship.
  • Develop both individual performers and the overall program.
  • Coordinate practices, performances, competitions, camps, and offseason development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, facilities, budgeting, equipment, uniforms, and program needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and the Athletic Department through approved communication platforms.
  • Conduct preseason parent meetings and individual preseason/postseason athlete meetings as appropriate.
  • Promote the program through youth camps, clinics, community outreach, and feeder school engagement.
  • Organize annual fundraising efforts and assist with Athletic Department fundraising initiatives.
  • Submit scores, accomplishments, awards, and team updates for school communications and media recognition.
  • Maintain accurate rosters, equipment inventories, and uniform distribution records.
  • Ensure compliance with all WIAA, Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and Catholic Central policies and procedures.
