Evansville Community School District is a PreK-12 District located in historic Evansville, Wisconsin. The Varsity Head Girls Wrestling Coach will assist in providing leadership and oversight for the Evansville High School girls wrestling program. This is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive program that promotes competitive excellence while supporting the academic, personal, and athletic growth of student-athletes. The head coach will work collaboratively with the Athletic & Activities Director, coaching staff, and Evansville''s middle school wrestling program to ensure alignment in coaching philosophy, skill development, and program expectations.

Coaching candidates should demonstrate a visible commitment to Evansville student-athletes and the Evansville Community School District (ECSD), while exhibiting strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. The Varsity Head Girls Wrestling Coach is expected to effectively coach, motivate, and mentor student-athletes while promoting high standards of sportsmanship, accountability, and character. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices, developing individual and team training plans, teaching proper wrestling techniques and strategy, supervising assistant coaches, coordinating program activities, and supporting the continued growth of girls wrestling within the Evansville Community School District. The coach will emphasize academic achievement, leadership, and positive citizenship while creating an inclusive and supportive environment where all student-athletes can develop and succeed.

The Varsity Head Girls Wrestling Coach serves as the leader and ambassador of the Evansville Girls Wrestling Program. This includes establishing and communicating program expectations, collaborating with youth and middle school coaches to build program continuity, promoting community engagement, maintaining effective communication with families, and ensuring compliance with all Evansville Community School District, conference, and WIAA rules and regulations.

Availability and time commitment may include, but are not limited to: pre-season planning with the Athletic & Activities Director; coordination and supervision of assistant coaches; pre-season meetings with student athletes and families; after school practices; in school check-ins with student-athletes as appropriate; competitions; weekend tournaments; post-season competition; youth and community outreach; offseason program development; and summer wrestling opportunities.
