Varsity Softball Coach

Eminence Community Schools is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the next Varsity Softball Coach. This position offers an opportunity to lead a competitive program while developing a comprehensive softball experience that supports student-athletes from youth leagues through the varsity level.

We are looking for a coach who embraces the challenge of building upon an established foundation and elevating the program to new levels of success. The successful candidate will be expected to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, sportsmanship, and continuous improvement while developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

Position Expectations

The Varsity Softball Coach will:

• Lead all aspects of the high school softball program.
• Develop and communicate a clear vision for softball at Eminence Community Schools.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the development of the program from youth softball through varsity competition.
• Collaborate with youth and middle school coaches to ensure alignment in player development, program culture, and expectations.
• Organize and support offseason skill development opportunities, camps, clinics, and summer programming.
• Foster strong relationships with student-athletes, families, staff, and community members.
• Promote academic achievement, character development, sportsmanship, and leadership among student-athletes.
• Work collaboratively with the athletic department in support of the schools commitment to excellence in academics, activities, and athletics.
• Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IHSAA policies and regulations.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A passion for developing student-athletes and building relationships.
• Knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• The ability to build enthusiasm and participation throughout the softball program.
• A commitment to creating a positive and competitive culture.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required.
