The Oconto Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Varsity Softball Head Coach to lead our high school softball program.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field while fostering a positive, competitive, and team-oriented culture.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the varsity softball program.
- Plan and conduct practices that develop individual skills, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Promote sportsmanship, integrity, leadership, and academic success among student-athletes.
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches while maintaining program consistency across all levels.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, families, school staff, officials, and community members.
- Ensure compliance with WIAA regulations, district policies, and conference expectations.
- Organize team activities, equipment, and game-day operations.
- Support youth softball development and encourage participation throughout the district.
