- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a credentialed position required to function in and practice in an expanded specialty. The NP has the responsibility and accountability for the assessment and management of patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, therapeutic interventions and the daily implementation and evaluation of an appropriate plan of care. Provides comprehensive healthcare sensitive to the needs of the population, including assessment, diagnosing, prescribing, and referrals where appropriate. Enabling patient choice in provision of care, complementing roles of MD and multidisciplinary team. The NP augments a physician''s ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services.

Job Description/Responsibilities Vascular Surgery PA/NP:
- This role is a Monday-to-Friday position which offers a balanced work-life schedule with no on-call duties, evenings, or weekend shifts.
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations in the outpatient setting.
- Evaluate and manage patients with vascular conditions, including but not limited to: Peripheral arterial disease, Carotid artery disease, Aortic aneurysms, Venous insufficiency and varicose veins, and Dialysis access care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision.
- Perform post-operative and routine follow-up visits.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (e.g., vascular ultrasounds, CT angiography, labs)
- Prescribe medications and manage ongoing medical therapy within scope of practice.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient counseling/education.
- Assist with or independently perform: Wound evaluations and management, Suture or staple removal, and Incision checks
Applicants should have the following:
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a surgical office and/or operating room experience
- Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program
- Board Certification
