Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Board Eligible / Board Certified Neuro Hospitalist, you will join the prestigious CommonSpirit Memorial Neuroscience Institute, an established hospital-employed group at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Every day you will contribute your expertise to our World-Renowned Comprehensive Stroke Center, working alongside an expert team focused on clinical care and neurologic research. As part of one of the largest and most organized neurology referral networks in the US, you will function within a highly collegial Institute encompassing neurohospitalist and neurosurgery components. This role provides flexibility while allowing you to remain an integral part of a leading neuroscience institute that benefits from extensive collaboration with partner hospitals nationwide (e.g., Baylor St. Luke's, Barrow Neurological Institute).

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Eligible / Board Certified Neuro Hospitalist with a passion for delivering high-quality neurological care on an as-needed basis within a cutting-edge environment.

  • Providing comprehensive patient care to neurological patients admitted to the hospital.
  • Performing timely and accurate neurological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgery, and other specialists.
  • Managing acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, and other neurological emergencies.
  • Participating in daily rounds, consultations, and patient care discussions as scheduled.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records using the hospital's EMR system, Epic.
  • Adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety protocols.

  • Board-eligible/Board-certified
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications
