We are currently seeking a Vascular Sonographer (or Vascular Ultrasound Technologist) on a full-time basis. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to: Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedureFacilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manualAssist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices neededCheck the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary suppliesPlease note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.
