AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Vascular Surgeon to serve as Medical Director of Vascular Surgery for the AdventHealth East Florida Division.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced vascular surgeon and physician leader to combine clinical practice with divisional leadership, program development, quality improvement, physician recruitment, and service-line growth across a rapidly expanding region.

The primary clinical base is AdventHealth Daytona Beach, with leadership responsibility for vascular surgery services across Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, DeLand, and Fish Memorial.

Opportunity Highlights

• Lead the strategic growth and development of Vascular Surgery across the East Florida Division
• Maintain a meaningful clinical practice while serving in a divisional medical director role
• Balance clinical responsibilities with protected administrative and leadership time
• Work alongside vascular surgeons, APPs, cardiothoracic specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Partner with hospital and medical group leadership on quality, access, physician recruitment, and program development

Clinical Practice

This position combines clinical practice with physician leadership. The successful candidate will continue to provide vascular surgical care while helping shape the future growth and development of vascular services across the division.

Leadership Responsibilities

• The Medical Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership for vascular surgery services, including:
• Strategic planning and care model development
• Vascular surgery program development and growth
• Physician recruitment, retention, mentoring, and professional development
• Quality metric oversight and clinical governance
• Collaboration with APPs and support for APP education
• Multidisciplinary coordination across heart, lung, vascular, and other specialty services
• Regional and national collaboration to elevate vascular services
• Partnership with hospital, medical group, and system leadership
• Community outreach and physician education

Candidate Qualifications

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery
• Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery
• Florida medical license or eligibility
• Established clinical experience as a Vascular Surgeon
• Minimum 3-5 years of vascular surgery leadership experience
• Demonstrated expertise in building and leading high-volume, quality-driven vascular surgery programs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across physicians, APPs, hospital leadership, service lines, and practice models
• Proven ability to lead strategic planning, program development, quality initiatives, and physician engagement
