Minimum Qualifications:
Clinical competency in carotid, arterial and venous modalities
Experience in higher level exams (graft duplex, arterial duplex, pseudoaneurysm) offered by the vascular lab, including adolescent applications where applicable
Exhibits the ability to communicate effectively utilizing written and oral skill in a multi-disciplinary setting
Demonstrated leadership skills
- At least three years field experience in basic exams (carotid arterial and venous)
- Field experience in higher level exams (graft duplex, arterial duplex, pseudoaneurysm) offered by the vascular lab
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Holds either the Registered Vascular Technologist credential through ARDMS or the Registered Vascular Sonographer credential through CCI
- American Heart Association BLS
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate of a School for General Ultrasound or Cardiovascular Technology
- Clinical competency in visceral vascular and other duplex specialties offered by the vascular lab, including infant, pediatric and adolescent applications where applicable
- One year field experience in visceral vascular and specialty duplex exams. 100 studies total in visceral vascular duplex (renal, mesenteric, aorta, IVC, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to a healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, quality care/services for a designated group of patients/customers. Performs diagnostic vascular procedures according to hospital and accreditation standards and providing an accurate preliminary interpretation.
