Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.Essential Functions-Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin. -Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels. -Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities. -Document exam findings in the patient's medical record. -Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.

EducationAssociate's degree Radiologic Technology requiredLicenses and Credentials

• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS]
• Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT]
• Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred

ExperiencePrior experience working in a similarKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Attention to detail.
