Job Title: Project Coordinator / IMS Scheduling Specialist Location: Herndon, VA or Bowie, MD Position Overview The Project Coordinator / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Scheduling Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules to support program execution. This role ensures alignment of project milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation with overall program objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage scheduling tools and data analysis techniques to identify risks, assess performance variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to support program objectives Track project dependencies, milestones, and critical path activities Generate and deliver schedule status reports, metrics, and dashboards Support Program Management Office (PMO) reviews, briefings, and audits Identify scheduling risks and opportunities; recommend mitigation strategies Analyze schedule performance and variances to ensure alignment with program goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely schedule inputs Continuously improve scheduling processes, workflows, and reporting methods Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or program coordination Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Experience maintaining and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights Demonstrated experience designing and improving workflows and processes Experience managing and optimizing processes for compliance and performance Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) preferred Clearance Requirement US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
