VCSU Student Employee Football - Filmer

Position Information

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only VCSU students are eligible to be hired in this position. Unsolicited applications to this posting will NOT be considered or responded to. Department: Athletics - Football

Reports to: Raynor Beierle - Assistant Football Coach

Position Summary:

As a student filmer for the department of Athletics-Football, your primary role is to film football activities including games and practices throughout the week. The ideal candidate will be able to work 10-20 hours every week, mostly evenings and weekends during home games. The candidate should have some background knowledge of filming football events. The amount of hours will vary based on how many home events are held each week.

• Maintain confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position.
• Must be a positive role model on and off the job.
• Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations.
• Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic).
• Minimum of 10 hours per week
• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
• TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
• Skill in observing situations.
• Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player.
• Good organization skills.
• Effectively be able to operate a video camera.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to move about.
• Be able to effectively carry equipment.
