VCUarts Adjunct Instructor - Department of Photography + Film

Summary

The VCUarts Department of Photography Film is establishing a pool of applicants on an ongoing basis for adjunct teaching positions. The Department of Photography Film will consult the adjunct applicant pool and contact qualified applicants for interviews on an as-needed basis.

Adjunct Professors

Adjunct professors for the VCUarts Department of Photography Film provide course instruction in any of the following areas: • Analog and digital photography • Lighting • Digital video • Composition and design principles

Our courses can require in-person teaching or online instruction. If an adjunct opportunity arises, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in a related field or training and professional experience that equates to a terminal degree.
• Appropriate teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
