Description

As a VDC Engineer, you will play a key role in integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) into the construction process. You'll collaborate with internal teams, design consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage BIM models for design coordination, clash detection, and construction planning.
  • Support preconstruction efforts with 3D visualization, quantity takeoffs, and constructability reviews.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts using Navisworks and Revit.
  • Assist field teams with model-based layout, sequencing, and logistics planning.
  • Maintain VDC documentation and ensure model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Train internal teams on VDC tools and workflows.
  • Research and implement emerging technologies to improve project efficiency.

Profile

A successful VDC Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in VDC/BIM within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and design coordination.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
