Position Overview:
Amatriot seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to join our team in Key West, FL. This position is on-site 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
Work side-by-side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clients
Work directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with the hardware/software
Keeping master image and pools update and secured. Implement patches, updates, and configuration changes in coordination with cybersecurity and IT teams
Interface with the customer, gathering requirements and delivering solutions.
Troubleshoot VDI-related issues, including user access, performance, connectivity, and software compatibility
Monitor system performance and usage to identify bottlenecks or failure points and recommend improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. A degree can be substituted for additional experience.
High School Diploma and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
Associate’s degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
A master’s degree is equivalent to an additional 2 years of experience and a PhD is equivalent to an additional 4 years of experience
5+ years of direct experience supporting VDI environments
10+ years of overall IT experience in system administration or related technical roles
Experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other major VDI solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
