Responsibilities
Collaborate with major gas and electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations.
Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation.
Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties.
Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.
Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews.

Ability to embrace an outdoor, independent work environment.
Thrives on adaptation, continual learning, training, and attention to detail.
Possesses knowledge or the capacity to quickly learn local tree species and specific growth rates.
Able to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
Understands that communication and teamwork are essential to our success.
Expected to become an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist within 12 months.
Ability to learn to use range finders and job-specific equipment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year of arboriculture experience.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
A clean driving record (DMV printout required).
Proficient in operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads.
Willingness to travel. (Travel is not guaranteed but highly likely.)
Lodging and per diem paid for all overnight travel.
Capability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
ISA and TRAQ not required but highly encouraged.
