Vehicle Assembler (Automotive Electronics)


Pay: $18-24/hr

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Vehicle Assembler with a background in automotive aftermarket accessory installation. This position is ideal for candidates who have installed electronic components and accessories in passenger vehicles, fleet vehicles, emergency vehicles, or police vehicles.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced working with vehicle electrical systems while maintaining high-quality workmanship.


Responsibilities

  • Install aftermarket electronic equipment and accessories in vehicles
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions
  • Route and secure wiring harnesses while maintaining a clean, professional installation
  • Install components such as:
    • LED lighting systems
    • Light bars
    • Sirens
    • Radios and communication equipment
    • Cameras
    • GPS systems
    • Control modules
    • Switch panels
    • Power distribution equipment
  • Perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting using hand tools and test equipment
  • Remove and reinstall interior trim panels, consoles, and other vehicle components as needed
  • Verify all installed equipment functions properly before final inspection
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure vehicles are completed according to specifications
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics or accessories
  • Experience with emergency vehicle, police vehicle, fleet vehicle, or commercial vehicle upfitting preferred
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Strong knowledge of 12-volt automotive electrical systems
  • Experience using multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
