Vehicle Maintenance Technician - Full Time | Public Works Department

What We're Looking For

Valid PA CDL and PA State Inspection License (Class 7) Formal training + 5+ years' experience in vehicle maintenance Ability to supply your own tools Strong knowledge of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and hybrid systems Experience with diagnostics, scan tools, A/C service, and fabrication Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather Professional communication, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing training A reputation for initiative, integrity, and responsible use of resources

What You'll Do

Maintain and repair the Township's full fleet - emergency, public safety, sanitation, recreation, and heavy equipment Perform diagnostics using laptops and scan tools Complete welding and fabrication (ACR, MIG, TIG, gas cutting, grinding) Work in field conditions with exposure to weather, dust, fumes, and road hazards Use required PPE and participate in ongoing training Support additional Public Works duties as needed

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry 50-100 lbs. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing Regular movement in and out of vehicles and equipment Ability to work extended shifts during winter storms and emergency operations Ability to wear required protective equipment
