What to Expect

The VPC Technician performs mechanical, electrical, and software repairs on McLaren vehicles under the supervision of the VPC Technical Supervisor. This role ensures all technical issues are resolved to McLaren's exacting standards, enabling vehicles to meet wholesale delivery schedules.

What You'll Do

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on McLaren vehicles as directed by the VPC Technical Supervisor.
  • Execute software updates and system configurations to ensure vehicles meet current specifications.
  • Complete technical campaign re-works in accordance with factory technical bulletins and service actions.
  • Document all repairs accurately and communicate findings to the VPC Technical Supervisor.
  • Cross-train on polishing and paint preparation techniques to support vehicle finishing activities.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
  • Support vehicle movement and processing activities as required.

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Technical training or certification in automotive repair with experience working on vehicles.
  • Basic diagnostic skills and ability to use automotive tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn high-performance vehicle systems and McLaren-specific procedures.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work safely.
