Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for validating embedded vehicle software and integrated features to ensure quality, performance, and safety requirements are met.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Vehicle Test Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance tests based on Agile user stories and requirements.

• Perform hands-on validation of embedded software and vehicle features in vehicles, test benches, and laboratory environments.

• Analyze test results, logs, and telemetry data to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and validate defect fixes.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python or similar scripting languages.

• Document test execution results, manage defects in JIRA, and support requirements traceability, reporting, and release validation.

• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and feature engineering teams to resolve issues, improve test automation, and ensure successful program delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 3-5 years of experience in automotive software testing, vehicle validation, embedded systems testing, or systems engineering.

• Strong experience with in-vehicle testing, embedded software validation, defect management, root-cause analysis, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Python scripting, and JIRA.

• Preferred experience with test automation, CANalyzer/CANoe, API testing, infotainment or ADAS validation, automotive network architectures, and tools such as Jama, TestRail, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
