VEMC Warehouse Associate

Job Purpose

Support Valve Engineering and Modification Shopwith Shipping, receiving, and inventory duties.Maintainthe flow of stocked and delivered inventory by pulling material from bins, loading/unloadingmaterial onto trucks, placing new material arrivals into bins, packing, and movement of products and valves (up to 40klbs), scanning or entering the data into theinventory database.

Responsibilities

Individualmust be able toperform the essential duties without reasonable accommodation.

• Unload Material,tools, and equipment from vendor trucks.

• Inspecting material forminimumMRC Global quality requirements.

• Stock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to the appropriateshelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, includingbind location, size, type,style,and length.

• Markthe materialwith the correct identifying information.

• Transfer material to and from the shops formodificationpurposes.

• Assemblecustomerorders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as percustomers'requirements.

• Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer.

• Load ontothe correcttruck or transfer tothe packingarea using a forklift, overheadcrane,andheavy equipment.

• Operate stand-uplift and forklift from 5k through 50klbs.

• Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air Shipments.

• Adhere to required safety policies,guidelines,and training.

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer safety policies.

• Utilize SAP and SIMS software for parts inventory and performing daily cycle counts.

• Pull part(s) asrequiredto support VEMC Valve Modification Utilizing SAP.

• Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.

• Report workplace hazards,injuries, or illnessesimmediately. 

Qualification

Any combination ofrequirements whichprovide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered. 

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).

• Must have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.

• Ability tolearn aboutMRC Global, federal, health, and safetyregulations.

• Typing and basic computer skills.

• Knowledgeof or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes.

• Ability tooperateoverhead cranes (up to 25klbs), stand-up lifts & orderpickers, forklifts from 5k thru 50k lbs.

• Basic Math andgood readingskills.

AdditionalQualifications

• Must have the ability to provide documentationverifyinglegal work status.

• Ability to read and speak the English language proficientlyin order tocommunicate with others,understandand interpret safetyinstructions, and respond to inquiries.

• Abilitytounderstandandcomply withMRC Global guidelines and expectations, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
