Description

Vendor Management Analyst

Corporate IT | Exempt | Primarily Remote with Monthly On-Site Presence in New Albany, Ohio
Reports to: VP, Information Technology

Help technology work better — so our teams can better support our residents.

At Wallick, our mission is simple and meaningful: Opening doors to homes, opportunities, and hope.

We provide affordable housing and senior living communities where residents depend on us every day for safety, service, stability, and care. Behind that work is a technology ecosystem that must be reliable, secure, cost-effective, and easy for our associates to use.

That’s where this role comes in.

As our IT Vendor Management Analyst, you’ll play a high-impact role in improving how Wallick manages technology partners, vendor performance, and IT service delivery.

This is not a heads-down technical engineering role. It is a business-first, relationship-driven, commercially-minded role for someone who can translate between IT, operations, vendors, legal, security, and business leaders — always with a focus on service quality, accountability, and results.

If you enjoy creating structure, improving service, holding partners accountable, finding savings, and helping people get the technology support they need to do meaningful work, this could be a great fit.

Why This Role Matters

Wallick operates in highly regulated affordable housing and senior living environments where technology reliability, vendor accountability, data protection, and service responsiveness directly impact business operations and resident trust.

When systems work well, our site teams can focus on residents. When suppliers perform well, our organization can invest resources wisely.

In this role, you’ll help ensure Wallick receives the right value, service, security, and accountability from the technology partners we rely on every day.

You’ll influence decisions that impact:

  • The associate technology support experience
  • Vendor performance and accountability
  • Technology spend and contract value
  • Third-party risk and data protection
  • Operational efficiency across the business
  • The ability of our teams to better support residents

 What You’ll Do

Manage Wallick’s Digital Supplier Portfolio

  • Maintain a complete inventory of digital suppliers.
  • Tier suppliers by spend, business criticality, switching cost, and strategic importance.
  • Build and maintain supplier scorecards that support better decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for renegotiation, consolidation, right-sizing, simplification, and improved value.
  • Help ensure Wallick is investing in the right partners for the right reasons.

Strengthen Supplier Relationships & Accountability

  • Develop strategic supplier relationships with clear expectations.
  • Monitor supplier performance against service levels and business needs.
  • Address underperformance directly and constructively.
  • Recommend escalation, renegotiation, replacement, or consolidation when value falls short.
  • Serve as a key connector between Wallick’s business needs and supplier delivery.

Own Contract Lifecycle & Renewal Visibility

  • Maintain a living contract calendar across the supplier portfolio.
  • Track renewal timelines, key terms, and decision points.
  • Anticipate renewals six to nine months in advance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to prepare for renewals, negotiations, and vendor decisions.
  • Support better commercial outcomes through planning, visibility, and discipline.

Partner with Architecture & IT Leadership

  • Partner with the Principal Architect on quarterly stack-value reviews.
  • Balance technology fit with commercial supplier value.
  • Help connect technology decisions to business value, operational needs, and long-term strategy.

What You’ll Help Build in Year One

In your first year, you will have made a meaningful impact by helping Wallick build a stronger, more accountable, and more service-focused technology operating model.

  • A complete, tiered digital supplier inventory.
  • A living contract calendar with no surprise renewals.
  • Supplier scorecards actively being used to guide decisions.
  • Early wins in savings, renegotiation, consolidation, simplification, or improved supplier performance.
  • Stronger relationships with key technology suppliers.
  • More disciplined third-party governance for security, data protection, insurance, service levels, and exit terms.

Required Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is organized, commercially curious, service-minded, and comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of vendor management.
  • 2+ years of experience in vendor management or procurement; 3+ years preferred.
  • 1+ year supporting vendor or service provider activities such as performance tracking, coordination, issue resolution, or vendor communication.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vendor scorecards or performance frameworks.
  • 1+ year using data or reporting to identify trends, support decisions, or improve performance.
  • Foundational understanding of vendor management and commercial concepts, including service levels, renewals, pricing, and total cost of ownership.
  • Exposure to contract renewals or vendor negotiations.
  • Basic awareness of third-party risk considerations, including data protection, security, and compliance.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • Exposure to Legal, Security, IAM, or Compliance teams.
  • Familiarity with ITSM or vendor management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or contract lifecycle systems.

How You Work

The right person for this role leads with outcomes, service, and accountability.

  • A business-first mindset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort translating between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence addressing underperformance directly and professionally
  • Curiosity about how technology, vendors, contracts, and operations connect
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Candor with tact
  • Ownership
  • Urgency without panic
  • Curiosity and learning

Work Environment

The role involves extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse, and requires regular communication through speaking, seeing, and hearing. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong prioritization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
