Ventilator Patient Specialist
Location: Southborough, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call: 1 week per month
Pay: $45–$50 per hour (based on experience) + Bonus Opportunities
Sign-On Bonus:
• $2,000 after 60 days
• $2,000 after 180 days of continuous employment

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Ventilator Patient Specialist to manage a defined caseload of ALS and/or pediatric ventilation patients.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring safe ventilator management, patient education, and exceptional respiratory care.
This position is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist or RN who enjoys working closely with patients in a home respiratory care environment and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives.
Serve as the primary liaison for ventilator patients and caregivers in your territory
Conduct patient assessments and provide education on ventilator use and respiratory care
Set up, maintain, and monitor advanced respiratory equipment
Document all services and patient interactions in accordance with company policies
Support orientation and training of new staff when directed
Participate in on-call rotations and provide phone consultation during non-business hours
Maintain compliance with state licensure and continuing education requirements
Ensure workspaces and equipment remain organized, safe, and compliant
Completion of an accredited respiratory care program preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) may be considered per state licensure laws
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) preferred
RN candidates considered based on state requirements
Pediatric and/or ALS ventilation experience required
Home respiratory care experience preferred
Hospital respiratory care experience acceptable
Must hold an active license in the primary state of practice
Ability to obtain additional state licensure if required
Experience with ventilator platforms such as Care Orchestrator or Astral
Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfortable navigating web-based healthcare platforms
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to lift and transport respiratory equipment when needed
Compliance with OSHA respiratory protection and N95 mask fit testing
Annual training and adherence to infection control protocols
