Venture Associate

Title: Credit Associate (Software & Technology)

Job Description: Our client is a venture debt/growth financing team seeking a highly motivated Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their Software & Technology team. This is a lean team, where you would gain increased exposure to all aspects of the business across underwriting, origination's, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess new investment opportunities through comprehensive due diligence and detailed credit analysis of potential deals.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models to project cash flows, evaluate risk, and support strategic investment decisions.
• Participate in structuring transactions, negotiate key terms such as interest rates and covenants, and oversee the negotiation and closing process.
• Track and analyze the performance of current investments.
• Prepare in-depth written analyses and present recommendations to investment committees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Admin, or related
• 2-4 years of experience in venture debt, investment banking, private equity, private credit with a focus on software & technology
• Buy-side experience, specifically lower-middle market direct lending preferred
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
