Configure, maintain, and optimize AML transaction monitoring scenarios and detection models to identify suspicious activity while reducing false positives.
Perform ongoing scenario tuning and threshold adjustments based on risk assessments, regulatory guidance, and operational performance.
Execute quality assurance testing for system updates, new monitoring scenarios, and model enhancements prior to production deployment.
Monitor alert volumes, analyze trends, and recommend model and process improvements to improve monitoring effectiveness.
Partner with AML investigators and compliance teams to evaluate alert quality and refine monitoring parameters.
Generate and analyze reports related to alert activity, case outcomes, disposition trends, and system performance metrics.
Ensure transaction monitoring configurations remain aligned with applicable BSA/AML regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain documentation for monitoring logic, tuning decisions, testing, and system changes to support governance and audit requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert for the transaction monitoring platform and provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with technology teams and third-party vendors on system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Support internal audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and explanations of monitoring methodologies.
Partner with project teams to develop business requirements, testing strategies, test scripts, and implementation plans for system enhancements.
Execute database queries and assist with the preparation of recurring and ad hoc compliance reporting and dashboards.
Identify system issues, recommend enhancements, and communicate improvement opportunities to management.
Perform additional duties as assigned while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
