Description

Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a Verification Engineer I for a global medical device client in Goleta, CA

Contract - 6 months | Onsite | $50 - $55 per Hr. 

We are seeking a Verification Engineer to support the testing and verification of advanced medical imaging devices and systems. In this role, you will design and execute verification testing, evaluate system performance, analyze results, and document findings to ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop verification test procedures for new products and system enhancements.
  • Execute verification testing on imaging devices and systems.
  • Evaluate optical, mechanical, electrical, and overall system performance.
  • Collect, analyze, and present test data in a clear and organized format.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting verification activities and results.
  • Identify, document, and track issues discovered during testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in developing and improving automated test methods and test infrastructure.
  • Support project timelines by communicating testing progress and schedules.
  • Perform additional engineering duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in product testing, verification, validation, or systems engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience performing design or systems verification in a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or life sciences.
  • Experience testing complex electromechanical devices and systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, PTC Integrity, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies including V-Model, Agile, and Lean.
  • Experience with test automation or programming tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing project requirements, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and accountability.
