Our client, a leading healthcare service provider specializing in cutting-edge technology to treat skin cancer, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist to join their team. With partnerships with over 200 practices across the United States and generating over $70 million in revenue, the company is experiencing rapid growth, offering a tremendous opportunity for career development. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work from home two days per week, along with amazing benefits.

General Summary of Duties: As a Verification of Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the company's success by verifying benefits for potential Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) patients across numerous locations. Your responsibilities will also include determining the patient's upfront payment amount and the expected reimbursement from the insurance company.

Duties Would Include:

• Contacting Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies by phone or internet tools to obtain benefit and eligibility information.
• Obtaining prior authorization for services being rendered.
• Efficiently and accurately verifying, reviewing, documenting, and completing insurance verifications within a 24-hour turnaround time.
• Determining patient portions due, contractual discounts, or other authorized discounts that may apply and communicating this information with appropriate personnel for scheduling preparations.
• Escalating recurring problem accounts to management appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Maintaining advanced knowledge of specialty and ancillary products to answer patient questions and ensuring a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information.
• Following all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements.

Experience Preferred:

• At least 1-year experience with medical benefit verification, with a preference for dermatology experience.
