    Trade city traffic for mountain views while building your surgical experience in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom.Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking a Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist to join our Perioperative Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff while providing exceptional care in a community-focused critical access hospital. As a valued member of our surgical team, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care before, during, and after surgery.Important for travelers: NVRH is located in a rural area of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Reliable personal transportation is required, as public transportation is limited. Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations during their assignment.About This RoleAs a Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to support patients through the perioperative experience. You'll prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile technique, assist during surgical procedures, manage surgical instruments and supplies, and help ensure high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process. This role is ideal for an experienced surgical technologist who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, values clinical excellence, and appreciates the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a rural healthcare setting.Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, supporting patient positioning, and assisting with surgical workflow. Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment. Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation activities. Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required Current BLS CPR certification required from the American Heart Association Previous operating room experience required. Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
