Vertical CNC Milling Specialist — Aerospace Components

Location: Placentia, California
Shifts: 1st shift and 2nd shift

A day in this role

You clock in and review the day’s production schedule for aerospace latching system parts. You stage tooling, load a 3- or 4-axis vertical CNC mill, call up the program, and run the first-off piece. With micrometers and calipers in hand, you verify every critical dimension, adjust tool offsets to nail tight tolerances, and document results. Between runs, you keep the machine in peak condition—lubricating, cleaning, and inspecting—so quality and uptime never slip. Throughout the shift, you interpret blueprints, monitor process stability, and keep parts moving smoothly to support assembly operations.

About the company

Our client designs and manufactures aircraft latches and latching systems. With over 80 years of aerospace heritage, they deliver high‑performance components to commercial, military, and space programmes. Their steady growth and reputation create real opportunities for development and long‑term careers.

What you will do

  • Set up and operate vertical CNC milling machines (3- or 4-axis) to produce precision parts to specification.
  • Review daily schedules and prepare machines, tooling, and materials for assigned job orders.
  • Maintain equipment through routine lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Adjust tooling and machine parameters per CNC programmes to achieve required tolerances.
  • Inspect completed components to ensure blueprint and dimensional compliance.

What you bring

  • 3–6 years of machine shop experience in a production environment.
  • Fluency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
  • Hands-on skill with precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of consistent machining quality.
  • Clear spoken and written English with the ability to follow technical instructions.

Why join

Be part of a collaborative culture with clear paths to grow and progress. Enjoy the stability of a well‑established aerospace organisation along with competitive compensation, benefits, and paid vacation.

Impact
