A Day in the Life
By 7:30 a.m., you’re reviewing overnight progress from a dry dock, confirming that the shaft alignment checks are on target. Before lunch, you’ve walked a terminal job, coordinated materials for a piping overhaul, and aligned subcontractor schedules for a hull repair. In the afternoon, you lead a progress meeting, adjust a budget forecast, and issue a change order—always with an eye on safety, quality, and schedule. You’re the hub that keeps vessel repairs, shipyard work, marine construction, fabrication, maintenance, and industrial waterfront projects moving in parallel.

- Develop and maintain integrated schedules, cost baselines, and resource plans.
- Direct labor crews and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and client contacts.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical packages to guide execution.
- Track milestones and performance; drive corrective actions to stay on course.
- Monitor productivity, materials, and overall project costs against targets.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and change management with rigor.
- Conduct site and vessel inspections; lead routine progress meetings.
- Champion compliance with maritime, OSHA, environmental, and safety standards.
- Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and specialized marine services.
- Identify risks early and remove roadblocks to keep operations on schedule.
- Produce clear reports and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.
