Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is hiring an experienced Vessel Welder for a manufacturing operation in Catoosa, OK. This position is responsible for setting up and operating advanced welding equipment, completing high-quality welds and repairs, troubleshooting welding issues, and ensuring all work meets required specifications.

The ideal Vessel Welder is a self-motivated, dependable welder with strong troubleshooting skills, attention to quality, and the ability to maintain production standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Vessel experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements

• 
  Must have at least 2 years of welding experience.
  
• 
  Must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test.
  
• 
  Vessel welding experience preferred but not required.
  
• 
  Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work-order instructions, and weld symbols.
  
• 
  Strong understanding of welding voltage and amperage and the ability to make proper adjustments.
  
• 
  Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines to maintain production and quality standards.
  
• 
  Basic math skills.
  
• 
  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  
• 
  Ability to identify weld defects and follow established quality procedures.
  
• 
  Ability to safely operate advanced welding equipment and required tools.
  
• 
  Must be physically able to crawl into and out of vessels.
  
• 
  Ability to handle small parts.
  
• 
  Basic data-entry skills for maintenance breakdown calls.
  
• 
  Ability to consistently meet or exceed established production standards.
  
• 
  Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
  
• 
  Six months of previous material-handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
  
• 
  Basic safety training.
  
• 
  Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  

Responsibilities

• 
  Plan and organize welding procedures based on job specifications.
  
• 
  Set up and safely operate advanced welding equipment.
  
• 
  Perform MIG and Flux Core welding according to required specifications.
  
• 
  Inspect completed work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality-assurance procedures.
  
• 
  Troubleshoot welding equipment and make advanced adjustments as needed.
  
• 
  Repair defective products while maintaining acceptable appearance and quality standards.
  
• 
  Monitor welding quality and identify defects or non-conforming work.
  
• 
  Help eliminate scrap, rework, and production downtime.
  
• 
  Participate in continuous-improvement efforts, including modifications to welding procedures that improve safety, efficiency, and quality.
  
• 
  Follow blueprints, welding symbols, work orders, and production instructions.
  
• 
  Maintain production averages at or above established standards.
  
• 
  Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
