Position Title: Veterinarian Assistant (Safety Sensitive)
Location: Albuquerque, NM 87123
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week 5 days working (8:00 Am - 5:00 PM)
Pay rate: $15.01/hr.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:- Assists veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and technicians with daily animal handling, feeding, surgery and monitoring.
- Provides customer service support at the front desk, including greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with animal intake and release.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with the public, staff, and volunteers.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of clinic areas, including exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas.
- Prepares, cleans, and restocks equipment, instruments, and supplies before and after procedures.
- Safely restrains animals during exams or treatments under supervision.
- Assists in maintaining accurate clinic animal records.
- Observes animals for signs of illness or distress and promptly reports concerns to clinic staff.
- Supports adherence to safety, sanitation, and veterinary clinic standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and ensure excellent customer service and animal care.
