Associate Veterinarian - Burnsville Parkway Animal Hospital | Burnsville / Twin Cities, MN

• Interest In: Small-animal general practice within an AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital offering comprehensive wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, advanced diagnostics, dentistry, routine and advanced surgery, orthopedics, pain management, behavior medicine, senior pet care, and compassionate client education. Whether your interests are surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, preventative care, or simply becoming a strong and well-rounded GP veterinarian, Burnsville provides the caseload and resources to continue building your skills.
• Open to New Graduates or Experienced Veterinarians: Whether you're preparing to graduate and looking for the right place to build your clinical foundation or you're an experienced veterinarian ready for your next opportunity, we'd love to connect.

New graduates will find an established multi-doctor environment where asking questions, discussing cases, and progressively building independence are encouraged. Our structured, one-year New Graduate Mentorship Program includes a dedicated Clinical Mentor with intentional schedule overlap, regular mentor meetings, goal-setting, virtual learning opportunities, and coaching around client communication and professional development.

New graduates also have access to our 5-day Surgical Mentorship Program, offered year-round in a small-group setting where participants typically complete approximately 20-40 surgeries, as well as a 2-day Dental Wet Lab led by our veterinary dental specialist and designed to build confidence in everyday dentistry.

Our goal is to help you grow into independence with support around you, not throw you into practice and expect you to figure it out alone.

• Experienced Veterinarians: Experienced doctors will enjoy the autonomy to practice high-quality medicine while still having a collaborative doctor team and opportunities to continue developing professionally. In addition to generous CE support, you'll have access to our Clinical Tracks Program, offering complimentary RACE-approved CE facilitated by veterinary specialists within our network.

• Established Multi-Doctor Team: You'll be joining an established doctor team where collaboration and case discussion are part of practicing good medicine. For a newer veterinarian, that means having other doctors available as you develop your clinical judgment. For an experienced DVM, it means having colleagues to collaborate with while still maintaining your own medical autonomy.
• Advanced Medicine + Specialist Collaboration: Burnsville Parkway is equipped to manage the majority of patients' medical and surgical needs directly within the hospital. When a case would benefit from additional expertise, our veterinarians can consult directly with board-certified specialists within our trusted network, providing additional clinical insight while allowing many complex cases to remain supported in-house. This provides a valuable resource for doctors at every career stage, whether you're a newer veterinarian learning how to approach more complicated cases or an experienced clinician who values having specialist expertise readily available.
• Surgery & Orthopedics: Doctors interested in surgery will find exposure extending beyond routine procedures. Burnsville Parkway offers routine and advanced surgical care, including orthopedic procedures, dental surgery, and cystotomy, creating opportunities to strengthen procedural skills and learn from a team comfortable managing a broader surgical caseload.
• Supportive, Experienced Technical Staff: Work alongside a knowledgeable support team with experience in anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, patient care, treatments, and client communication. Strong support allows our veterinarians to focus their time where it's most valuable diagnosing, treating, performing procedures, and building relationships with clients.
• AAHA-Accredited Standards of Care: As an AAHA-accredited hospital, Burnsville Parkway voluntarily maintains rigorous standards across areas including patient care, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, safety, continuing education, and client service.
