We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our progressive, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Fairfield, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities- Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries in pets, primarily dogs and cats
- Perform surgical and medical treatments as required
- Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients on wellness and preventive care
- Perform dental procedures and related treatments
- Collaborate effectively within the veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians
- Partner with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to maintain high clinical standards and superior patient care
- Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and professional development opportunities
- Manage time effectively while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to a positive, enjoyable, and collaborative workplace for staff, clients, and pets
Required Qualifications- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Eligible to obtain Connecticut State Veterinary License
- Minimum 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Internship training preferred but not required
- Strong communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
