Associate Veterinarian

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our progressive, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Fairfield, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries in pets, primarily dogs and cats
  • Perform surgical and medical treatments as required
  • Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients on wellness and preventive care
  • Perform dental procedures and related treatments
  • Collaborate effectively within the veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians
  • Partner with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to maintain high clinical standards and superior patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage time effectively while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to a positive, enjoyable, and collaborative workplace for staff, clients, and pets
Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Eligible to obtain Connecticut State Veterinary License
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital preferred
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Internship training preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
