Associate Veterinarian opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX, offering up to $170,000. Join a thriving small-animal and exotics practice with the support, tools, and team to do your best work.

The Hospital
This established, full-service practice delivers preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and care for avian and small exotic pets. The team is known for compassionate service, thorough communication, and a welcoming environment, reflected in consistently positive client feedback. Clinicians are supported by registered veterinary technicians and experienced front-desk staff, creating a high staff-to-doctor ratio and a collaborative, team-first culture. Facilities include in-house laboratory and diagnostic tools, surgical and dental suites, an on-site pharmacy, and online client options. The practice accommodates urgent cases during business hours with limited same-day appointments and offers weekday daytime hours plus a shorter Saturday shift; it is closed on Sundays. Facility enhancements are underway, and input on tools and workflow is welcomed.

The Role
- Provide comprehensive wellness and medical exams, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage follow-up care
- Perform and/or assist with dentistry and soft-tissue surgery; select orthopedic procedures performed in-house based on experience
- Utilize in-house laboratory and diagnostic tools for efficient case workups
- See urgent cases during business hours and help triage limited same-day requests
- Maintain accurate digital medical records and prescribe medications in accordance with protocols
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients; educate on preventive care and treatment options
- Collaborate with registered technicians and support staff to promote efficient, high-quality care
- Contribute to protocol refinement and quality standards with practice leadership
- Typical schedule: weekday daytime shifts with a short Saturday rotation; closed Sundays. Flexible scheduling can be discussed during interviews.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- License (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Texas
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- 1+ years of experience in a small-animal clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry; comfort with avian and small exotics is a plus
- Strong diagnostic ability, client communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of a clinical role
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
