Your Role as Medical Director & Partner
As the Medical Director, you will lead the hospital's medical team and daily operations while helping shape long-term strategy. Responsibilities include:
• Providing high-quality, client-centered veterinary care • Overseeing clinical standards, protocols, and medical decisions • Mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians and staff • Partnering with hospital leadership to manage scheduling, hiring, and training • Engaging clients with clear communication and technology-enabled services (telemedicine, email, texting, etc.) • Participating in business planning and performance reviews
Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree • Licensed and in good standing in the state of Maryland (or eligible) • Minimum 4-5 years of clinical experience in a small animal setting • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills • Desire to grow into or expand upon a practice ownership role • Business acumen and collaborative mindset • Fear Free or HABRI certification, or interest in obtaining one
