The Role

  • Provide clinical leadership, uphold medical standards, and champion quality care across the hospital
  • Deliver general practice services including preventive care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and urgent-care cases
  • Utilize in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, and dental imaging to inform treatment plans
  • Mentor veterinarians and support staff; foster a culture of learning, accountability, and teamwork
  • Partner with practice leadership on protocols, workflow efficiency, and client experience initiatives
  • Support recruitment, training, and scheduling to meet patient demand and team well-being goals
  • Communicate clearly with clients, ensuring understanding and trust in treatment recommendations
  • Contribute to inventory oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • License to practice (or eligibility for licensure) in Oregon
  • DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Strong communication skills with a client-centered approach; leadership interest or experience preferred
