Job Description
This role is responsible for the welfare and care of animals, with a primary focus on large animals in a non-clinical research environment. The veterinarian performs comprehensive veterinary examinations, administers medical care and treatments, and participates in client studies in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and both GLP and non-GLP guidelines. The position also contributes to protocol-driven research activities, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports the overall health and well-being of animals under care.

Work Environment
The veterinarian joins a small, collaborative team of approximately three professionals in a non-clinical research setting focused primarily on large animals. The role is onsite with flexible working hours, typically within the 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. range, allowing some variation in start and end times based on operational needs. While on contract, there are no on-call shifts required; however, upon transition to a permanent position, the veterinarian participates in a rotating on-call schedule, being on-call for one full week at a time, including weekends, and typically receiving 1-2 calls per week while on-call.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $62.50/hr.
