- Provide input into the interpretation and implementation of applicable regulations, standards, policies, and guidelines affecting animal care and use programs, including GLP, USDA Animal Welfare Act, AAALAC expectations, and internal standard operating procedures.
- Participate in the creation, review, revision, and implementation of standard operating procedures related to veterinary care, animal welfare, clinical observations, anesthesia, analgesia, surgery support, and post-procedural monitoring.
- Serve as a member of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and support protocol review, animal welfare discussions, facility inspections, and overall programmatic oversight, as needed.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant documentation in alignment with good documentation practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support animal care programs, research activities, and operational needs.
Requirements
