About the Role:
Dr. Ferber's Animal Hospital in Pembroke Pines, FL is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively
• Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging including X-rays and ultrasounds
• Maintain accurate patient medical records using veterinary practice management software
• Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care
• Ensure exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment are clean and properly sterilized

Requirements:

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
• Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques for various species
• Excellent communication and client education skills
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-stress or emergency situations
• Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus
