About This RoleAre you an experienced veterinary anesthesia professional looking to grow your skills in a specialized surgical research environment? As a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician I, you'll play a key role in supporting preclinical surgical studies by providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care from induction through recovery.

What You'll Do

Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.Calculate and administer anesthetic agents, CRIs, and protocol-specific medications.Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to changing conditions.Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain anesthesia and patient monitoring equipment.Document treatments, observations, and anesthesia records accurately.Support post-operative recovery and pain management.Ensure compliance with animal welfare, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of veterinary anesthesia experience.Strong knowledge of anesthetic medications, ventilators, monitoring equipment, and anesthesia protocols.Proficiency with medical math and CRI calculations.Ability to think critically and remain calm in high-pressure situations.Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Surgical Research Anesthesia Certification or RLAT certification.
