What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians, patients, and clients by:

  • Creating a smooth and efficient exam room workflow
  • Providing attentive, compassionate patient care and handling
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
  • Reviewing treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients
  • Educating pet owners and answering questions with empathy and clarity
  • Supporting outpatient procedures and treatments under veterinarian direction
  • Assisting with patient history collection, vitals, and medication administration
  • Helping create a positive experience for both pets and their people

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $16–$18/hour based on experience*
  • $500 bonus package available for candidates with 3+ consecutive years in a Veterinary Assistant role

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Minnesota

Preferred Skills

  • Patient restraint and low-stress handling
  • Oral medication administration
  • Obtaining vitals and TPRs
  • Client communication and education
  • Collecting and relaying patient/client history to the DVM
  • Strong multitasking and teamwork abilities
