About the Role:
Join our dedicated team at Garden District Animal Hospital LLC as a Veterinary Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will support our veterinarians in providing exceptional care to pets while fostering a compassionate environment for both animals and their owners.



Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing surgical instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including animal housing and treatment areas.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about treatment plans and post-care instructions.
• Monitor and record patient progress and any changes in behavior or health.
• Help with the intake and discharge process of patients, ensuring a positive experience for pet owners.
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals during their visits.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for animal welfare.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift and restrain animals as necessary.
• Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
• Compassionate demeanor and a team-oriented attitude.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
