Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant in Blue Springs, Missouri to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals. Veterinary Assistants are valuable members of our medical teams and play a crucial role in patient care and client service. You will work closely with doctors and technicians to increase hospital efficiency and provide exceptional patient care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Animal handling and restraint
- Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures
- Obtain medical history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas
- Restock and organize medical supplies
- Continue to advance knowledge base and skill set
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
- Prioritize tasks effectively
