Position Details
Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Five-day work week with every other Thursday off and every other Saturday off. No late nights, Sundays, or holidays. Saturday hours are 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do
- Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation and recovery
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals while maintaining accurate records
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventative care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical charts
- Provide patient monitoring and supportive nursing care
- Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas while following infection-control protocols
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain efficient workflow and excellent patient care
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
