This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated assistant who is eager to continue learning, expand their clinical knowledge, and work in a collaborative environment where they are empowered to fully utilize their skills. Our assistants play an active role in all aspects of hospital care, including patient care, client communication, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures. We are looking for someone who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced setting, adapts well to changing priorities, anticipates team needs, communicates professionally, and takes pride in providing outstanding support throughout every stage of the patient visit.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
  • Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
  • Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $21-25 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday- Saturday with Saturdays being rotating.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 2+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, or related role preferred
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
    • Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
    • Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs preferred
    • Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
    • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
    • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
    • Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
