Seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the ER team!

Location: 123 W Cedar St, Norwalk, CT 06854

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $21-$25/hr

Schedule: 4 x 10hr - Wednesday-Saturday

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Restrain all types of animals, sizes and temperaments
  • Assist veterinarian and technicians with exams, procedures and diagnostic testing
  • Prepare specimens and perform laboratory testing
  • Maintain supplies and restocking
  • Maintain cleanliness and disinfect all areas of the hospital including, but not limited to: laundry, cleaning of floors, taking out the trash, cleaning treatment areas and exam rooms, reception area
  • Support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a veterinary environment
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to plan, organize, make decisions and communicate effectively and clearly with fellow team members, clients and doctors
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once, and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities
