Join Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA, a Level 1 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital, where you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians and credentialed technicians caring for high-acuity patients while growing your skills in emergency medicine.

Whether you’re experienced in veterinary medicine or looking to continue building your clinical skills in a collaborative hospital setting, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every shift.

Compensation

  • $17–$21/hour, based on experience and skills
Schedule
Choose the schedule that works best for you:
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week (one weekend shift required)
  • Four 9-hour shifts per week (one weekend shift required)
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week (no weekends)
Full-time opportunity with multiple scheduling options available.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians throughout the patient visit and treatment process
  • Provide safe and compassionate restraint during patient examinations and procedures
  • Prepare, disinfect, and maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment
  • Assist with outpatient appointments and inpatient care
  • Communicate with clients professionally and compassionately during appointments and treatments
  • Support the medical team in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous veterinary assistant or animal handling experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical or emergency veterinary environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team-focused, collaborative mindset with willingness to learn
  • Ability to safely restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
